IMPACT GLASS_

BY ARNE QUINZE

Arne Quinze's Impact Glass_ merges craftmanship, innovation and an artistic vision.
Crafted in Murano - Italy, these sculptures blend traditional glassblowing with contemporary expression.
At its core, Impact Glass_ reimagines human history through a fictional narrative: alien DNA arrives on Earth via a meteor, becoming our own. The meteor symbolizes humanity's disruptive nature, marking the birth of a human-alien DNA hybrid. Displayed at ground level, the installation captures the moment of impact, with crystalline structures embodying traces of alien DNA.
This event disrupts nature's harmony - evoking a modern Garden of Eden - ushering in an invasive alien presence.

Scientific research into meteorites such as Murchison, Black Beauty, Erg Chech 002 and NWA16128 reveals insights into the origins of life and the formation of celestial bodies. These meteorites contain extraterrestrial material, including complex amino acids and olivine crystals, crucial for life as we know it.
