Lapis Lazuli - is a rock composed out of several different minerals, namely: Lazurite, Pyrite and Calcite. Lapis Lazuli has been used for a multitude of reasons ranging from being the blue pigment in Cleopatra's eye make-up and paint for several famous painters, to being used as decorative objects around the world. This rock is mainly mined in the Badakhshan region of Afghanistan.
